WHAT IS HORMETIC STRESS

Hormetic stress is a biological phenomenon where low doses of a stressor have a stimulatory or beneficial effect, while higher doses might have inhibitory or toxic effects. The main principle of hormesis is the exposure to the ideal level of stressors, or to the right amount of stress where your body is challenged, but not overly fatigued.
